The Sahara Desert is located in the northern part of Africa. It is about 3.6 million miles. The deserts climate was estimated to be calculated over 5 million years ago. The current climate in the summer can exceed over 100 degrees and during the winter it can reach the average temperature of 55 degrees. The climate has remained the same except in the 19th century when there was a mini ice age in Europe. It is said that the Sahara may be as big or bigger then America. It is the largest and hottest desert in the world.
